Methi Paratha


 Methi Paratha is healthy, delicious, and flavorful paratha that is rich in iron. It is a great breakfast or any time meal. We can take it with chutney, pickle or curd or with curry also. Fenugreek leaves are full with nutritious and it helps to control blood sugars. It's easy to cook and tasty.

Preparation Time: 15 minutes

Cooking Time: 30 minutes


Ingredient:-

  1. Wheat flour  – 1 cup or 200 gm
  2. Gram Flour - 2 tbsp
  3. Methi/fenugreek Leaves- 2  large
  4. Onion- 2
  5. tomato-1
  6. Ginger - 1 tbsp (grated)
  7. Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp
  8. Ajwain - 1 tsp
  9. Salt - 2 tbsp or as per taste
  10. Oil – 1 tbsp & to fry


Step 1:

Chopping ingredient-

Wash methi leaves and chop them into small pieces. Chop tamato and onione.

Step 2:

Making dough-

In a big bowl take wheat flour, gram flour chopped methi leaves, onion, tomato, Ginger, Red chili powder, ajwain, salt, and oil then mix it well. After that mix little water and make dough. Make dough soft. keep aside for 30 minutes. 

Step 3:

Rolling Methi paratha:

divide the dough into 8 -9 equal parts. make a ball and with the help of flour give it chapati shape or you can make triangle shape also. 

Step 4:

Toasting

Toast them on a hot Tawa on medium flame. When you see a tiny bubble flip the paratha. Press it with a spoon and then toast it on both sides until lightly brown spots appear. Do not overcook otherwise it becomes hard. Now you can serve it with chutney or dal or curry.
